Call for Sustainability Case Studies - Get Published!

The March/April 2018 issue of APPA’s Facilities Manager magazine will highlight innovative sustainability programs and services at colleges, universities, and schools. We’ll also consider submissions for a forthcoming publication of sustainability success stories. Send us your case study or program description. View last year’s published submissions.

  • Deadline for articles and photos: Friday, January 19, 2018.
  • Articles should be 200 words. Include author's name, title, affiliation, and email.
  • Send a high-resolution campus logo.
  • Photos should be high-resolution (at least 300 dpi; or 1,800 X 1,200 pixels) send only 1 photo per submission.
  • You may send more than one case study per school, but please send them separately.
  • Submissions from business partners are welcomed but should be focused on a school's program and cannot be self-promotional or company- or product-specific.
  • Submission of case studies implies the granting to APPA the right to publish them in Facilities Manager and other APPA resources.
  • Send your materials to: Steve Glazner, Editor, steve@appa.org.


Facilities Manager brings the reader the views and experiences of the people behind the facilities operations. Articles are written by facilities professionals for facilities professionals, giving readers practical and big-picture perspectives on issues and challenges shared across the profession. Readers turn to Facilities Manager for the research, solutions, creative strategies, and best practices to inform and transform their work.
