Hosted by Johnson Controls, APPA's Welcome Party is open for all attendees and their spouses/guests. Join us for an evening of fun, while you connect with old friends and meet new colleagues. Check back after December 1st for more details about this event.
Effective & Innovative Practices
APPA's Effective & Innovative Practices Awards, sponsored by Sodexho, recognize programs and processes that enhance service delivery, lower costs, increase productivity, improve customer service, generate revenue, or otherwise benefit educational institutions. All those submitting entries for this award are offered the option to display and discuss their projects in a special section of the Hall of Resources. Visit them and see how learn how other campuses are finding effecitve and innovative solutions to facilities challenges.
Fun Run/Walk
Rise and shine! Join us on July 10th for the annual APPA Fun Run/Walk with our sponsor TMA, Inc. The start time for the Fun Run/Walk will be 6:00am at Trinity University. Please complete the 2008 5K Run/Walk Entry Form and fax completed form to TMA Systems at 918-858-6655.
Awards Reception
Celebrate with us as we thank our Business Partners for their support and recognize recipients of the Pacesetter Award, Effective & Innovative Practices Award, Rex Dillow Award, CFaR Research Awards, and the prestigious President's Award.
Awards Banquet
Our annual banquet is a time for us to celebrate a prosperous year. The evening is marked by the awarding of APPA's highest honors: the APPA Fellow, the Meritorious Service Award, and the Award for Excellence. The festivities also include a changing of the guard, as we thank our President from 2007-2008, and welcome our new officers.
Spouse/Guest Tour Activities
This year APPA, through a destination management company, will have spouse/guest tour activities. You will be able to choose from a selection of tours from La Villita, a unique arts and crafts community, to a trip down the San Antonio River. Study Shows School Cleanliness Affects Learning
Entitled Cleanliness and Learning in Higher Education, the national study of college students was based around the five levels of clean identified in APPA’s Custodial Staffing Guidelines for Educational Facilities.
