APPA Scholarship Program

Continuing education and professional development are important tools for the enhancement of one's career in the educational facilities profession.  All six regions of APPA offer generous scholarships each year to individuals who have achieved a notable level of professional growth and are looking to take the next steps.

The primary APPA programs for which scholarships are available are the twice-yearly, four-track Institute for Facilities Management and the annual Leadership Academy.  For information and criteria specific to your region, please contact the representative listed below.

A recent national study of college students determined there is a correlation between the cleanliness of a school’s facilities and students’ academic achievement. Entitled Cleanliness and Learning in Higher Education, the study was based around the five levels of clean identified in APPA’s Custodial Staffing Guidelines for Educational Facilities. More information.

The final report is available free to APPA members and for $30 for nonmembers through the APPA bookstore
