Institute for Facilities Management: Planning, Design, & Construction Core Area
This program of the Institute for Facilities Management provides a better understanding of the processes, practices, and emerging trends in the design and construction industry, and their relevance within an education environment. Successful campus planning, design, and construction efforts require the active involvement of a variety of facilities managers from different areas, including operations, utilities management, and administration. The core and elective courses in this department will enable the student to be a more effective project team participant.

CSI Certification Programs
APPA's Strategic Partner, The Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) offers certification programs recognizing excellence in four areas of expertise. The Construction Documents Technology (CDT) Program recognizes demonstrated excellence in mastering the basics of construction. The Certified Construction Specifier (CCS) Program acknowledges those individuals who demonstrate written excellence in specifications preparation. The Certified Construction Product Representative (CCPR) Program acknowledges those individuals proficient at supplying specifiers and contractors with information, products and materials, or substitution solutions. The Certified Construction Contract Administrator (CCCA) Program acknowledges those who excel in overseeing the contract administration process.
