ACUHO-I: The Association for College and University Housing Officers International works to develop exceptional residential experiences at colleges, universities, and other post-secondary institutions around the world. ACUHO-I provides innovative, value-driven programs, services, research, and development as well as networking opportunities that help support and evolve the collegiate housing industry.
ACUTA: The Association of College and University Telecommunications Administrators' core purpose is to support higher education institutions in achieving optimal use of communications technologies. ACUTA represents nearly 2000 individuals at 825 institutions of higher education with members ranging from small schools and community colleges to the 50 largest U.S. institutions. ACUTA also has corporate affiliate members, representing all categories of communications technology vendors who serve the college/university market.
CM Focus: Cleaning and Maintenance Management Online: CM/Cleaning & Maintenance Mangement magazine, founded in 1963, is the oldest title serving the industry. It is ranked first in its field in ad pages. Circulation exceeds 40,000, a third more than any other audited publication targeting this readership. Educational Facilites Websites: A listing of APPA Member Facilities Department Websites. We invite links from all educational organizations, including colleges, universities, K-12 districts, private or independent schools, museums, hospitals, city/county governments, and other nonprofit entities. We include links to all facilities-related departments, including facilities management/physical plant, facilities planning, architecture and design, energy and utilities, environmental stewardship, or auxiliary facilities departments, such as athletics, housing, or student centers.
FMLink: FMLink is a comprehensive, net-based facilities management (FM) publication. It is the only FM publication that blends information from its own sources with those from so many others, including leading magazines and associations in the field.
IFMA: The International Facility Management Association certifies facility managers, conducts research, provides educational programs, recognizes facility management degree and certificate programs, and produces World Workplace, the largest facility management-related conference and exposition.
MaintenanceResources.com: This maintenance resources website contains a reference library section, connecting you to over 500 free articles on all aspects of plant engineering, maintenance, and reliability, divided into quick-to-find subject areas.
MD/DC APPA: The Maryland/DC Chapter Eastern Region Association of Education Facilities Officers provides links to other facilities management resources, in areas including: national standards and codes, environmental health and safety, and grounds and landscaping.
NACAS: The National Association of College Auxiliary Services provides professional development and leadership opportunities necessary for its members to be successful as they support higher education through auxiliary/campus services in an ever-changing environment. Their membership incudes colleges and universities throughout the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Australia.
NWF: Since its founding in 1989, the National Wildlife Federation's Campus Ecology Project has become a leading conservation program in higher education. The program helps to transform the nation's college campuses into living models of an ecologically sustainable society; train a new generation of environmental leaders; ensure a strong future for America's environmental movement; and to support and promote positive and practical conservation projects on campus and beyond.
PGMS: Professional Grounds Management Society members are primarily institutional grounds managers who work for organizations such as colleges and universities, municipalities, park and recreation facilities, office parks, apartment complexes, theme parks, etc. In addition, many independent landscape contractors are also in membership. All have joined together for the purpose of education and economic advancement. PGMS honors the best in grounds management with their Green Star Awards.
