PACESETTER AWARD APPLICATION
The Pacesetter Award is designed to encourage further participation in APPA among those who have already made significant contributions at their regions or chapters. Up to seven Pacesetter Awards will be given each year. To be eligible for the Pacestter Award, nominees must meet the following criteria:- Active member of APPA for a minimum of three years.
- Actively participate in meetings and other functions of the Association
- Demonstrated signficant and/or continued service to the association through one or more of the following:
- Service/contributions/accomplishments at an international, regional, or chapter level
- Service/contributions/accomplishments as a member of an official APPA Commiteee, Program, Task Force, etc.
- Service/contributions/accomplishments as a member of an official APPA educational program or special project
- Authorship of a publication, article, or chapter for APPA or presentation at an APPA annual meeting or educational program
- Other voluntary contributions of time, effort, resources, and leadership abilities to promote and enhance APPA and the educational facilities management profession.
- Past recipients cannot be nominated again.
Entry Instructions
Please complete the information below as thoroughly as possible. Attach supporting documentation when available (e.g., letters of commendation, recommendation, newsclips, etc.)
Deadlines
The APPA.org award submissions are always open.
The deadline is for all APPA 2008 awards is January 30, 2008.
The deadline for all APPA 2009 (scheduled for March 2009) awards is November 15, 2008.

Study Shows School Cleanliness Affects Learning
Entitled Cleanliness and Learning in Higher Education, the national study of college students was based around the five levels of clean identified in APPA’s Custodial Staffing Guidelines for Educational Facilities.
