MERITORIOUS SERVICE AWARD APPLICATION
Each year APPA members bestow the Meritorious Service Award upon the individual member or members who have made significant, life-long contributions to the profession of higher education facilities management. APPA's highest individual honor for service, the Meritorious Service Award is given to no more than three individuals each year. To be eligible for the Meritorious Service award, nominees must meet the following criteria:
- Active Institutional Rep or Associate member at an APPA Institutional or Affiliate organization for a minimum of ten years.
- Active participation in meetings and other functions at the international level.
- Service as an Association officer at international level through:
- Service to the Board as a regional or chapter level rep
- Service as chair or member of an official APPA education program or project
- Service to an associated professional organization whose principle purpose is related to the betterment of facilities management operations at colleges and universities.
- Past recipients can be nominated after ten years of service that followed their first Meritorious Award.
Entry Instructions
Please complete the information below as thoroughly as possible. Attach supporting documentation when available (e.g., letters of commendation, recommendation, newsclips, etc.)
Deadlines
The APPA.org award submissions are always open.
The deadline is for all APPA 2008 awards is January 30, 2008.
The deadline for all APPA 2009 (scheduled for March 2009) awards is November 15, 2008.

Study Shows School Cleanliness Affects Learning
