2009-10 Report Innovations

The 2009-10 FPI report encompassed the following major programming achievements:

  • APPA has updated the look and feel of the report by eliminating duplication of pages and streamlining navigation links. The new charting software is far more legible, dynamic, and flexible.
  • APPA released the unpublished Report as a beta version for all participants to view and to help APPA ensure that all data sets submitted were accurate.
  • A significantly higher qualified set of data was produced due to an enhanced scrubbing and mentoring effort during this year’s survey cycle.
  • Trending for all charts and graphs has been extended from 3 years to 5 years.
  • Participants have the flexibility to choose any number of trending years (up to 5) to show on all graphs and charts.
  • Canadian and U.S. conversions for the following measures [Dollar/Canadian Dollar, Gross Square Feet (GSF)/Gross Square Meters (GSM), Acres/Hectares] will be automated by clicking a radial button to convert all U.S. to Canadian or vice versa.
  • Excel File reports provide raw survey/report data in convenient Excel files allowing you to customize the entire data set for the current report year as well as all prior years back to 2005-06. Use this report option if you are planning to create your own customized columns of data or wish to build your own formulas to devise additional performance indicators beyond what is provided in the customized Detailed Data Reports.
