The Leadership Academy
Track III: Managerial Effectiveness Skills
In this track, participants develop and strengthen leadership skills while learning basic principles for organizational and managerial effectiveness. Attendees experience a dynamic learning environment utilizing engaging discussion groups, learning games, discovery exercises, synergy, and project collaboration. The content of this program complements and builds upon the individual skills learned in Track I and the interpersonal skills developed in Track II.
SKILLS LEARNED:
- Expand leadership skills while learning principles for organizational and managerial efficacy.
- Develop an understanding of the importance of cohort discussion groups.
- Acquire theories and practices such as organizational design, change and process management, strategic planning, constituent and customer focus strategies.
- Achieve greater understanding of the "business" of Facilities Management.
- Gain a greater understanding of the Four Roles of Leadership (FranklinCovey).
- Discover theories and practices for decision-making, trust agreements and effective management.
- Learn about "Leaders Teaching Leaders" for Organizational Effectiveness.
- Increase leadership abilities while learning culture change tactics.

Study Shows School Cleanliness Affects Learning
Entitled Cleanliness and Learning in Higher Education, the national study of college students was based around the five levels of clean identified in APPA’s Custodial Staffing Guidelines for Educational Facilities.
