APPA Announces Results of Its 2012 Officer Elections

The APPA 2012 officer elections ended at 5:00 pm Eastern Time on April 17, 2012.  Ballots received from the membership were counted and verified by the APPA Tally Committee on April 19.  The following individuals were elected and will be installed as officers of APPA at the APPA 2012 Conference and Exhibition scheduled July 17-19 in Denver, Colorado:

 

President - Elect

Glenn Smith
Bryn Mawr College

Director of Facilities Services at Bryn Mawr College, was elected to serve as the APPA 2012-13 President-Elect. Following his tenure as President-elect, Glenn’s leadership will continue with service as the 2013-14 APPA President, after which he will serve as APPA’s 2014-15 Immediate Past President.

Vice President for Information and Research

Jeri King
University of Iowa

Assistant to the Associate Vice President, Facilities Management, University of Iowa, was elected to serve as the Vice President of Information & Research.  The term of service is for three years.

Vice President for Professional Development

Robyn Pierce
Portland State University

Director for Facilities and Planning at Portland State University, was elected to serve as the Vice President of Professional Development. The term of service is for three years.

  Congratulations to all eligible voting representatives and proxies for their active participation in this year’s officer elections, and congratulations to APPA’s newly-elected officers.
