The APPA Online CEFP Certification Course is a 90 day course for qualified individuals preparing to take the CEFP exam. Earning the CEFP demonstrates that you have a mastery of professional expertise in the facilities management field. It is a mark of superior proficiency in the core competencies for educational facilities professionals.

Study materials are provided to registered participants on the state-of-the-art Customized Interactive Learning (CIL) Platform which is available 24/7 so you can study when and where you want.
Upon registration, you will select a cohort group to join for predetermined course dates. A suggested study calendar will be sent to you with live webinar dates that serve as a review for each of the four (4) core areas of the CIL Body of Knowledge.
At the conclusion of the 90 day course, you will have 30 days to schedule and take your exam through a third party administrator. Results are known immediately. If you fail on your first attempt, you are allowed one (1) free second attempt if you contact us within 30 days of your exam date. Frequently Asked Questions concerning the CEFP Credentialing Course.
Do you Qualify?
The CEFP is the credential for both aspiring and existing facilities professionals with a combined eight (8) years (or points) of education and/or work experience. To see if you qualify, complete the questionnaire found HERE.

Exam
The CEFP exam is administered online by our internationally recognized testing platform provider, Kryterion. There are three (3) options for testing, which include:
- Local Kryterion testing center staffed with professional proctors. Locate a testing center near YOU!
- Webcam either internal or external, utilizing a Kryterion proctor, on campus or at home using your personal laptop or computer. See requirements
- Campus Proctored either on campus or at home using a proctor of your choice, on a computer of your choice.

Cost
The CEFP course included access to the online study material on the CIL Platform as well as a FREE second chance option to take the course and exam again if you fail on your first attempt if you return within 30 days of your exam date.

The APPA regions have negotiated significantly discounted rates for their APPA Institutional/Affiliate members. Your institution must be a member of both APPA and the region in order to qualify for the lower price. Business partners of APPA and a region are not eligible for these rates.
