July 20, 2012, Alexandria VA – APPA recognized this week three individual members for their significant contributions to the profession of education facilities management with its Meritorious Service Award.
The 2012 recipients are: Tony Ichsan (PCAPPA), Santa Rosa Junior College; Mark Hunter (PCAPPA) of California Polytechnic and State University; and Brian Worley (PCAPPA) of Claremont McKenna College.
“The Meritorious Service Award recipients have dedicated years of service not just to improving the facilities at their own institutions, but to the profession as a whole through tireless service in leadership positions within APPA regions and at the international level,” said David Cain, APPA’s Vice President, Professional Affairs, and the chair of the Awards and Recognition Committee. “Tony, Mark and Brian have made the industry stronger through their years of service.”
The awards were presented by APPA 2011-12 President David Gray of Middle Tennessee State University, on Thursday, July 19, during APPA’s Awards Banquet at the APPA 2012 Annual Conference and Exposition in Denver.
