To enroll in the CEFP Prep Course and Exam, you must have at least 8 years of combined education and professional experience in facilities management.

Step 2. Register and Access Your Learning Course 

When you purchase the CEFP Exam, your registration automatically includes access to a 90-day, self-paced online learning prep course through APPA’s LMS platform in Member Compass. You can study at your own pace, with flexibility to engage when it works best for your schedule. 

This course provides: 

• Comprehensive study materials aligned to APPA’s Body of Knowledge (BOK). 

• Tools and strategies to help you create your personalized study plan. 

• Four one-hour on-demand review sessions covering the core knowledge areas. 

• Access to archived recordings for additional reinforcement. 

Step 3. Take the CEFP Exam and Earn Certification 

• Exams are available on-demand with flexible scheduling options. 

• Results are delivered promptly upon completion. 

• If you do not pass on the first attempt, you can request will receive a free retake opportunity within 30 days of completing the exam which includes , with continued access to the online learning course. 

• Additional attempts are available for $150, with 30 days of renewed access to the LMS platform.
