2020 Application for APPA President-Elect

APPA’s next President-Elect should possess a proven track record of guiding an organization through a period of transformative change.  The vision of APPA that is painted by the 2019 Strategic Plan will be coming into maturity during this position’s tenure. The challenges of implementing changes to our governance structure will require strong leadership.  Candidates interested in meeting these challenges and serving as APPA’s President-Elect, President and Immediate Past President should respond to the following information request with these leadership goals in mind.

Candidates are encouraged to review APPA’s Strategic Plan to evaluate their interest and prepare their application.

2020 President-Elect Application

  • Step 1: Application and Expression of Interest

    Candidates interested in being considered for President-Elect must submit the following personal information and provide a narrative in response to the questions outlined by the Nominations Committee. This step must be completed by December 20, 2019. Candidates selected for further consideration by the Nominations Committee will be invited to move onto Step #2.

    • Step 2: Candidate Interviews

      The Nominations Committee will prepare an interview “shortlist” of candidates who have submitted the most compelling responses to the Step #1 information requests, with the goal of fielding a candidate or candidates for a general membership election to be held in April of 2020. The Nominations Committee will conduct teleconference interviews with candidates in January 2020.
