Jobs Express: Post an Ad

Job Express is an extremely popular and regularly visited site by qualified facilities professionals interested in campus positions related to senior facilities administration, design and construction, facilities planning and management, business operations, custodial and landscaping, energy management and utilities, campus sustainability, the maintenance trades, and other facilities functions.  We specialize in job listings for educational facilities (colleges, universities, schools, and districts) and related organizations such as museums, libraries, municipalities, state or federal agencies, and other nonprofit entities.

Bonus exposure: In addition to the many job seekers visiting Job Express each week through the APPA website, APPA sends a weekly e-newsletter (every Monday afternoon) of new job listings to 23,000+ APPA members and followers, further spreading your ad’s visibility.

If you have an APPA login and password, and already logged in, please click button below to create your ad:

STEP 1 – If you’re not in the APPA database, create your own account by completing the form at https://online.appa.org/appassa/censsacustmast.insert_page.

STEP 2 – Login to myAPPA at https://www.appa.org/login/.  You’ll be taken to your myAPPA Dashboard page.

STEP 3 – Click on the myAPPA link at the top of the page, then click on the myJobExpress section. This is where you can post and pay for your ads from the Advertise link. You will place the ad yourself in the myJobExpress section, and provide your credit card payment information, which is required for placement.  Please use Chrome, Firefox, or Safari as your browser for submitting ads; Job Express does not support Internet Explorer.

Remember to include the all-important How to Apply link/information to your ad.

To revise your Job Express ad after submission – Login to myAPPA -> myJobExpress -> Manage Your Account. Under Review Previous Invoices, you’ll be able to access and edit your recent JE ads.

STEP 4 – Online prepayment is required for ad placement.

Rates: 

APPA Member
Up to 500 words in length = $561
501-800 words = $803
Maximum length is 800 words.

Nonmember
Up to 500 words in length = $715
501-800 words = $957
Maximum length is 800 words.

Deadlines: 

Ads are due every Friday by 4:00 p.m. Eastern. Those positions are then posted first thing Monday morning. 

All Job Express ads remain on the JE site for 8 weeks before automatically expiring.  If you wish to cancel the ad before the 8 weeks expire, contact Anita Dosik to deactivate the ad.  Note that the price you pay for Job Express is for the initial posting, regardless of how long you keep it online.

Recruiting Firms: 

We welcome your business on Job Express. After acquiring your APPA username by creating an account, contact Anita Dosik to be added to the recruiters list. Thereafter, you’ll be billed the APPA member rate for your Job Express listing, regardless of your client’s membership status with APPA.

We define recruiters and recruiting firms as individuals or commercial entities that are retained by a nonprofit college, university, school, district, museum, library, municipality, government agency, or healthcare facility to place a facilities-related position on its behalf. Internal human resource personnel at nonmember educational organizations or facilities contract firms are not eligible for inclusion on the recruiters list.

Cancellation Policy:  

Job Express ads may be canceled before the Monday ad postings at 9:00 a.m. Eastern. A $100 cancellation fee will apply.  Ads canceled after the Monday posting time will be charged the full ad amount, and no refund or credit will be provided.

Agency Commissions:  

No agency commissions or discounts are given for Job Express advertising.

Resume Bank:

All Job Express advertisers receive free access to APPA’s Resume Bank, a repository of resumes from facilities professionals who may be interested in a new opportunity. Advertisers may browse the available resumes and contact the individual directly.
