Survey Raw Responses: COVID Era Procedures/Practices/Protocols that Will Remain in Place Post-COVID

Increased cleaning frequency.  Availability of cleaning products for occupant usage in high touch areas.

We will only use the electrostatic sprayer once a day.

Hand Sanitizers, wipes in classrooms, increased MERV filter from 8 to 13, and increased ventilation.

We will have building entry hand sanitizing stations and stock masks for people that might request one due to illness.

Remote meetings and remote work processes will be routine.

Some instructional classes will be hybrid with more on-line options.  HVAC modifications such as UVC will be implemented as budget allows.  Custodial “tiger teams” will be available for extra sanitizing as needed.

The use of electrostatic spray guns and hand sanitizer stations will stay.

Cleaning and some social distancing.

High-level cleaning. Hand sanitizers.

Additional PPE requirements for custodial staff.  Use current portable HEPA-rated air cleaners that were purchased in lieu of permanent HVAC system changes in densely populated areas like the health center and fitness center during flu season.

We will continue to use the bipolarization system to aid in flu and virus transmissions.  We will reduce the electrostatic cleaning from daily to once or twice a week in our athletic facilities. We will scale back our touch surface cleaning.  We have and will continue to expand the touch free door access points.

Cleaning and sanitizing office and common areas where a confirmed positive staff member was working immediately prior to being sick.

We installed in-duct UGI in our several of our buildings with programs that have high exertion and high expression (dance, music, and theater) and we will continue expanding this to other classroom buildings. Replacement of MERV 8 filters quarterly will continue.

Closing bathrooms when cleaning. Keeping paper towels in student house restrooms.

Social distancing at 3 feet and amplified cleaning/disinfection.

Three times daily sanitizing of all door handles and all areas to include classrooms, study rooms, lounges and restrooms.  Hand wash and hand sanitizing stations with all relevant non-pharmaceutical preventive care and general good hygiene signage will remain in place.

Cleaning all restrooms 3 times daily; wiping handrails 3 times daily.

Touchpoint cleaning – more from an aesthetic standpoint.  Our doorknobs have never looked better.    Hand sanitizer stations and disinfecting wipes in rooms with pianos and shared instruments will remain in perpetuity.

80% self-report vaccination rate is required to remove COVID protocols.  Special ID/pass given to the vaccinated to eliminate their use of masks in public spaces.

Enhanced disinfection standards for high touch areas.

Disinfecting kits will remain in each classroom and will continue to be restocked daily by custodial staff.

Cleaning & disinfecting 7 days a week. Hand sanitizing stations available (not as many) but more than we had pre-COVID.

Saliva testing unvaccinated students and staff – dedicated contact tracing team – sanitizer stations at public entrances and elevator lobbies.

Signage at every point of entry and throughout all facilities regarding protocols currently in place – Cleaning kiosks will remain placed in corridors that are stocked with disposable gloves, disposable cleaning towels and approved cleaning product.  Instructions on how to use the supplies are in place as well.

Cleaning (COVID is not over yet and there are other contaminants) MERV13 (it is the correct means to keep people safe from other pollutants not just COVID).

We have not set classrooms back to pre-COVID capacities, but will observe 3′ distancing in classrooms not 6′ as in the past year.  We will continue to use a vacant dormitory building as quarantine/isolation housing for affected students.

We will stop with the spraying down of classrooms nightly, although we’ll continue to stock wipes in classrooms.  Common touch points will continue to be hit with greater frequency.

Providing disinfectant wipes to all people so they may help slow the transmission of fomite pathogens, specifically COVID-19.  Regular use of electrostatic sprayers for disinfecting spaces.  Credentialing of Custodial staff through ISSA’s cleaning management institute.

High touch point area cleaning.  Remote/work from home policies will remain in place where possible for non-front facing staff. High-flex delivery of academic programming.

Faculty and staff are responsible for cleaning and disinfecting their offices and classrooms, unless a C-19 case is suspected or found, then EVS will disinfect and fog the area.  Public areas, students housing and bathrooms will be paid special attention by EVS staff.

We will continue nightly disinfection of all classrooms, labs and additional areas with electrostatic sprayers.  We will continue to provide disinfection wipes in classrooms, offices and shared spaces.  We will continue our more frequent cleaning of high touch/high traffic areas.

Employee screening. Mask/Distancing for non-vaccinated personnel.

We were not entering offices at all, now we will clean offices once a week.

More frequent disinfection of high touch point surfaces.  50% or more reduction in the number of max occupants in elevators.

Building touchpoints, including handrails, elevator buttons and door handles in occupied buildings, are being cleaned with a virucidal disinfectant to help fight the spread of COVID-19. An anti-microbial floor finish is applied to all resilient floors that require finish.

Emergency cleaning/disinfecting response for positive cases on premises. Reduced contact tracing efforts. Optional masks. Spacing back to normal.

We engaged our custodial contractor for an “Enhanced Cleaning” protocol with high use areas being disinfected on a regular schedule and continued use of the COVID killer disinfectants as a matter of routine.  Fogging and spraying enhanced in public areas of campus along with routine daily application in classrooms and labs.

Attention to disinfecting of all high touch surfaces.

UV treatments in the HVAC systems, MERV 11 and 13 filters in classrooms and res halls.

To help with staffing burdens, we will continue to ask individuals to empty their personal desk trash/recycling bin into the common area receptacles, eliminating that custodial task.  Daily e-spray of equipment in gyms and fitness centers.

Remote working will remain in some capacity.

FACILITIES: Continue applying disinfectant via electrostatic sprayers. Increase use of ATP for monitoring touch points.  CAMPUS: Hybrid options for remote teaching. Work from home opportunities.  These two practices will reduce, maybe eliminate weather-related closures.
