Presented by the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education, the Global Conference on Sustainability in Higher Education brings together sustainability leaders from around the world in a virtual format to share effective models, policies, research, collaborations and transformative actions that advance sustainability in higher education and surrounding communities.
New Format for 2022
This year’s virtual Global Conference on Sustainability in Higher Education (#GCSHE) will take place on three separate dates – Oct. 18, Oct. 26, and Nov. 3! Save the date to join us for a new format that will allow increased conversation, connection, and learning.
Conference Objectives
GCSHE will convene a diverse group of attendees including faculty, students, sustainability staff, administrators, business partners, nonprofit representatives, government officials, and community members to examine:
- How can higher education leaders inspire a greater sense of urgency to tackle climate change at their institutions?
- How do higher education sustainability leaders shift focus from incremental improvement to organizational transformation?
- How can higher education institutions partner with their communities to prepare for and respond to the consequences of climate change?
- How can higher education prepare students to effectively shape and contribute to efforts to address the climate crisis?
