APPA Town Hall – Considering the Remote/Hybrid Workplace

The success of remote/hybrid learning has now morphed into a campus-wide discussion around the Remote/Hybrid Workplace.  Such questions as: What is the value of being on-campus? Who needs to be on-campus? What does the workplace look like post-pandemic? What spaces need to be built and for what purpose(s)? Just to name a few.

This is not a simple problem to assess or resolve given the importance of balancing the productivity and performance of faculty and staff and corresponding space utilization. Let alone ensuring the sense of connectedness and community that is or can be missing in the “Work from Home” (WFH) environment.

The APPA Town Hall panelists will provide their perspectives on these questions and many more as we explore this uncharted territory.

Panelists:
Joe Bilotta, President & CEO, JBA Incorporated
Emmanuel Daniel, Director of Digital Transformation for Smart Buildings and Campuses, Microsoft
Rick Huijbregts, Vice President, Strategy and Innovation, George Brown College
Paul Knowles, Director of Space Planning, University of Kentucky Campus Planning

E. Lander Medlin, Executive Vice President, APPA
