APPA Webinar – To Coat or Not to Coat? Durability & Schedule Factors Related to Coating Your Parking Deck

There are many factors to consider when selecting a traffic coating for your parking structure. Parking garage owners and facility managers need to consider the unique attributes of each structure, such as garage construction type, level of exposure to vehicular traffic and elements, and application limitations such as odor mitigation, weather conditions, and temporary garage closure timeframes. This presentation will provide an overview of traffic coating systems and the importance of performing condition assessments prior to specification and application. The presenters will review the various traffic coating systems, advantages and disadvantages of each system, and appropriate conditions for their application. They will also discuss quality control during construction and post-installation maintenance. Case studies will illustrate examples of the traffic coasting system selection process and application.
