How to Sustainably Finance Higher Education & Promote College Affordability

The cost to attend college has skyrocketed over the past few decades, leading students to accrue increasing amounts of student debt and causing some to forgo pursuing a degree altogether. Higher education often gets the short straw when those officials face the compounding impact of recessions, tax cuts, and a growing list of new priorities. As students struggle to keep up with price hikes, further action is needed to improve college affordability.

Join the Bipartisan Policy Center for a conversation on how states and the federal government can act together to chart a sustainable future that improves access and affordability throughout the higher education system.
