HVAC Testing & Maintenance is Critical to Building Health

There is unprecedented consensus among public health and engineering authorities that increased ventilation, with outside air, will help minimize the risk of COVID-19 transmission in the indoor environment. Though this might sound like a simple fix, it’s a bit more complex that just opening the outside air dampers and adding more air changes per hour. What about the HVAC equipment? Is it ready to handle the increased load? When was the last time the equipment was deep cleaned?

This online workshop will take a look at how fouled HVAC equipment can adversely affect the guidance for increased ventilation. It will demonstrate how routine testing and a clean HVAC system per ASHRAE 62.1, Section 8 improves performance as well as indoor air quality.
