Campus master plans provide strategic direction for the future of campus facilities, but existing facilities that continue to age and change functions need to be addressed on a recurring basis. This presentation by FEA will highlight an approach to developing Facility Asset Management Plans that evaluate major repair and renewal needs in combination with other considerations (such as functionality and security) to provide a more complete definition of facility requirements and projects.
Learning Objectives:
1. Understand how to incorporate organizational drivers into a prioritized, planned program for facilities asset management.
2. Describe the process for assessing all aspects of facility performance, including condition, functionality, and physical security, and how to integrate those considerations into a defendable, relevant project prioritization methodology.
3. Explain the benefits of having consistent metrics and key performance indicators when seeking to improve facilities performance.
4. Highlight an approach to developing Facility Asset Management Plans that evaluate major repair and renewal needs in combination with other considerations.
