As the number of electric vehicles on the road accelerates, institutions need to deploy a significant number of EV chargers to serve their campus & community. Electrical distribution equipment to support EV charging can be cost-prohibitive, notably where robust grid connections are lacking. Fortunately, microgrids, supported by battery storage can manage the load impact of EV chargers & minimize the need for costly upgrades. Microgrids also provide resiliency, sustainability & economic benefits.
