Volunteer opportunities are available at the local, regional, and international levels and are open to professionals at all career stages. Current Opportunities
Join APPA's Professional Development Faculty
APPA professional development faculty are experienced facilities professionals who are passionate about sharing their knowledge and engaging peers. Our programs are highly interactive, and faculty play a key role in creating meaningful learning experiences—not just delivering content.
Preferred Qualifications
- APPA member in good standing (strongly preferred)
- Prior presentation or facilitation experience (preferred)
- Participation in at least one APPA program (preferred)
Application Process
To apply, complete the online application and:
- Indicate which program(s) you are interested in facilitating
- Upload a current CV or résumé
Applicants will be notified of their status within three months of submission.
Qualification Process
Applicants selected to move forward will be asked to:
- Submit letters of support from professional contacts
- Provide a letter of commitment from an employer (or self, if applicable)
- Attend the program of interest as a participant
- Shadow a qualified facilitator for one full program
- Deliver up to 4 hours of content (may include co‑facilitation)
- Present a minimum of 8 hours of content, as approved by the Program Dean or Vice President of Professional Development
The qualification process takes a minimum of six months.
