Instructor-led CEFP prep course

Instructor-led program delivers a rich in-depth interactive course led by a educational facilities professional and covers all four core competency areas of APPA’s Body of Knowledge (BOK): 

• General Administration and Management 

• Operations and Maintenance 

• Energy, Utilities, and Environmental Stewardship 

• Planning, Design, and Construction 

Through real-time instruction and collaborative discussions, participants gain a deeper understanding of facilities management and how all areas interconnect to support the mission of their organization. 

Program Format 

20-hours of instructor-led sessions.

Highly interactive with discussion, group activities, and applied examples. 

Available in three formats: 

• Virtual – Delivered remotely via video conferencing with breakout sessions and recorded content for review. 
• In-Person – Delivered on campus for your team or regional groups. 
• In-Person At APPAU - In addition to the in-person interaction with the test takers and faculty, you get an opportunity to network with 300-500 facilities professionals that are attending other APPA PD programs.

Learning Resources 

Participants also receive access to APPA’s online learning management system with: 

• Practice exams and quizzes 

• Narrated modules of the Body of Knowledge 

• Flashcards and study manual 

• Recorded sessions for review 

CEFP Exam 

CEFP exam is available to participants of the instructor-led prep course at no additional cost.

Ready to test, schedule the CEFP online proctored exam with our testing partner Strasz. Go to the self-study course then go to Strasz Exam Scheduling to schedule your exam. A government ID must be presented to the proctor before the exam can begin. It's essential that the name used to schedule the exam and the name on the government ID match.
