Facilities management is a complex field, and educational facilities have special concerns that set them apart from commercial properties. Job Express connects you to professional facilities management positions openings at colleges and universities, K-12, hospitals, museums, and other agencies and organizations.

Job Express is updated weekly each Monday. Access to Job Express position listings is free, and APPA members get special discounted rates to post their listings. So take advantage!

Follow the steps below to create an account, and post your job opening.

STEP 1 – Create an account

STEP 2 – Login to your account

STEP 3 – Click on the myAPPA link at the top of the page, then click on the myJobExpress section. This is where you can post and pay for your ads from the Advertise link. You will place the ad yourself in the myJobExpress section, and provide your credit card payment information, which is required for placement.  Please use Chrome as your browser for submitting ads.

• Remember to include the all-important How to Apply link/information to your ad.

• Qualified positions must be facilities management positions at educational institutions. Job Express does not list openings for non-facilities positions at non-educational institutions (such as sales or management positions for private companies). All listings are screened before approval, and APPA reserves the right not to accept a listing if it does not meet the criteria required.

To revise your Job Express ad after submission – Login to myWorkspace -> myJobExpress -> Manage Your Account. Under Review Previous Invoices, you’ll be able to access and edit your recent JobExpress ads.

Post Guidelines

STEP 4 – Online prepayment is required for ad placement.

APPA Member

Up to 500 words in length = $590
* Premium listing = $740

501-800 words = $845
* Premium listing = $995
Maximum length is 800 words.

Nonmember

Up to 500 words in length = $750
* Premium listing = $900

501-800 words = $1,000
* Premium listing = $1,150
Maximum length is 800 words.

Premium job listings: Gain an advantage and get prime exposure on the Job Express site with highlighted job postings and more prominent visibility to job seekers. Premium listings are also featured in APPA’s monthly Inside APPA newsletter. 

Deadlines

Ad Submission
All Job Express ads must be submitted by Friday at 4:00 p.m. ET. These listings will go live the following Monday morning.

Ad Duration
Each ad remains active on the Job Express site for 8 weeks before automatically expiring.
If you need to remove your ad early, simply # to deactivate it.

Pricing Note
The fee for Job Express covers the initial posting only, regardless of how long the ad remains online.

Getting Started

1. Create an APPA account to obtain your username to be added to the recruiters list.
2. Once listed, you’ll be billed at the APPA member rate, regardless of your client’s membership status.

Eligibility
Recruiters and recruiting firms are defined as individuals or entities hired by nonprofit organizations—such as colleges, universities, schools, districts, museums, libraries, municipalities, government agencies, or healthcare facilities—to post facilities-related job openings.
Please note: Internal HR staff at nonmember institutions or facilities contract firms are not eligible for inclusion on the recruiters list.

APPA Business Partners

Posting Privileges
APPA Business Partners in good standing may post job openings at APPA-member rates.

Position Requirements
Listings must be for facilities management roles at educational institutions.
We do not accept postings for non-facilities positions or roles at non-educational entities (e.g., sales or management jobs at private companies).

Screening Process
All submissions are reviewed prior to approval. APPA reserves the right to decline listings that do not meet our criteria.

Cancellation Policy

Job Express ads may be canceled before the Monday ad postings at 9:00 a.m. Eastern. A $100 cancellation fee will apply.  Ads canceled after the Monday posting time will be charged the full ad amount, and no refund or credit will be provided.

Agency Commissions

No agency commissions or discounts are given for Job Express advertising.
