Follow the steps below to create an account, and post your job opening.
STEP 1 – Create an account
STEP 2 – Login to your account
STEP 3 – Click on the myAPPA link at the top of the page, then click on the myJobExpress section. This is where you can post and pay for your ads from the Advertise link. You will place the ad yourself in the myJobExpress section, and provide your credit card payment information, which is required for placement. Please use Chrome as your browser for submitting ads.
- Remember to include the all-important How to Apply link/information to your ad.
- Qualified positions must be facilities management positions at educational institutions. Job Express does not list openings for non-facilities positions at non-educational institutions (such as sales or management positions for private companies). All listings are screened before approval, and APPA reserves the right not to accept a listing if it does not meet the criteria required.
To revise your Job Express ad after submission – Login to myWorkspace -> myJobExpress -> Manage Your Account. Under Review Previous Invoices, you’ll be able to access and edit your recent JobExpress ads.
STEP 4 – Online prepayment is required for ad placement.

To ensure consistency and readability across all job postings, please follow these guidelines when submitting your content:
1. Font and Formatting
- Font: Arial
- Title Size: 14 pt, Bold
- Body Text Size: 12 pt
- Use bold for section titles (e.g., Job Summary, Minimum Qualifications).
- Do not use underlines, italics, or colored text.
2. Required Sections and Order
Please structure your job posting in the following order:

Shift and Travel
Example: Business Hours (Monday–Friday); Local campus travel only
Job Summary
Provide a concise overview of the role and its purpose.
Apply Link
Include the direct application URL.
Minimum Qualifications
List required education, experience, and technical skills.

List additional desirable credentials or experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Highlight essential competencies for success in the role.
Representative Job Duties
Use bullet points for clarity.

3. Style Tips
- Use bullet points for lists (qualifications, duties).
- Keep sentences clear and concise.
