Executive FM works exclusively in the post-secondary sector and is led by Grant Sommerfeld, who brings 17 years of experience as a Chief Facilities Management Officer, including nine years in higher education as an Associate Vice President of Facilities Management. He holds an MBA and three professional certifications in facilities management (CFM, CEFP, and FRICS), as well as one in management consulting (CMC).
Grant is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and the current President of the IFMA FM Consultants Council. He is an active contributor on LinkedIn and an author whose most recent articles were published in the May and September 2025 editions of the IFMA Facilities Management Journal.
