Professional Bio

Jeffrey L. Benjamin is the Vice President, Facilities and Campus Development, at Tulane University. His areas of responsibility include Facilities Operations and Maintenance, Capital Construction and Campus Development, Utilities, Grounds, Support Services, and Sustainability. A licensed professional engineer in the state of Texas and Georgia, Jeff began his career as an electrician’s mate in the U.S. Navy and retired after 24 years of service as a lieutenant commander with the Navy’s Civil Engineer Corps in 2013. Most recently, he was the Associate Vice President, Facilities Management Division at the University of Georgia. Jeff graduated from Vanderbilt University with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, an MBA from the University of Phoenix, and Master of Engineering in Construction Engineering and Management from North Carolina State University. He is a Certified Education Facilities Manager and is currently serving as President, APPA Southeast Region (SRAPPA).
