Nathaniel "Nat" Saviet serves as Vice President of Facilities at Bergen Community College, where he provides leadership for campus facilities operations, maintenance, custodial services, environmental health and safety, capital improvements, and long-term infrastructure planning. In this role, he works closely with institutional leadership to align facilities strategy with the College’s academic mission, operational needs, student experience, and fiscal priorities.
Nat has extensive experience overseeing complex facilities operations in higher education, including capital project planning, vendor and contract management, regulatory compliance, emergency response coordination, fleet and transportation operations, and service delivery improvement. His leadership approach emphasizes accountability, communication, data-informed decision-making, and practical solutions that support safe, functional, and welcoming campus environments.
As President-Elect of NJAPPA, Nat is committed to strengthening professional engagement across New Jersey’s higher education facilities community. He is focused on supporting collaboration among member institutions, expanding opportunities for professional development, encouraging emerging leaders, and helping NJAPPA remain a valuable resource for facilities professionals navigating the evolving challenges of campus operations.
