Terry Maynard is a transformative leader with a rich background in both military and higher education management. With a distinguished 23-year career in the Navy, Terry rose to the rank of Senior Chief Petty Officer, mastering the art of guiding cross-functional teams in fast-paced, global environments spanning Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
In his civilian role as the Facilities Management Housing Zone Manager at the University of Virginia, Terry expertly manages 180 buildings, providing housing for 7,000 residents and overseeing a $12 million operating budget. He leads a team of nine dedicated supervisors and nearly 90 frontline employees while seamlessly coordinating with contractors for custodial, trades work, and non-capital projects.
