APPA SMS Privacy Notice

This notice applies only to information collected in connection with text messages sent or received on APPA’s SMS-enabled Microsoft Teams phone numbers. For all other information, see the APPA Privacy Policy.

Information we collect

• Your mobile number, name, email address, and organization
• The date, time, and method of your opt-in consent
• The content of messages exchanged with APPA staff

How we use it

• To respond to you and communicate about the topics described in our SMS Terms
• To keep records of your consent and honor opt-out requests
• To comply with legal obligations

Sharing

APPA does not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers or text messaging opt-in data and consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile opt-in information will not be shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

We share this information only with the service providers that deliver text messages (Microsoft and mobile carriers) and when required by law.

Retention and security

We keep SMS records only as long as needed for the purposes above and for legal compliance, and we protect them with the safeguards described in the APPA Privacy Policy.
