A Thanksgiving Message of Gratitude to Our APPA Community

Posted By: Lalit Agarwal Association Updates,

As someone who grew up in India, Thanksgiving was not a holiday I knew until I arrived in the United States in 1998 for my graduate studies. In those early years, the holiday simply meant a welcome break to prepare for final exams or an opportunity to explore a new city. Over time, the meaning of this season has evolved for me. While I still do not personally connect with its historical origins, I have come to appreciate this moment each year as an invitation to reflect, to pause, to acknowledge, and to give thanks. Today, I want to extend that gratitude to our APPA members and volunteers who form the heart of our association.

To Our Members

Your commitment to advancing the educational facilities profession inspires everything we do. Whether you are caring for campuses, planning for future generations, or navigating the complexities of today’s operational environment, your work strengthens learning communities across the globe. Thank you for your trust in APPA and for your dedication to excellence.

To Our Volunteers

APPA thrives because of you. Your willingness to contribute time, expertise, and leadership as chapter and regional leaders, trainers, content creators, committee participants, and advocates elevates our entire community. Your service fuels our programs, enriches our conversations, and keeps APPA’s mission vibrant and relevant. We are grateful for your continued partnership. As we enter this season of reflection, I am grateful for every member of the APPA community. Together, we are building an organization that honors its legacy while embracing the opportunities ahead. I wish you and your loved ones a restful, meaningful, and joyful Thanksgiving season.
